I just completed a three day tour with master-guide, Petra Draskovic Pelc. She is the most knowledgable, switched-on and fun guide that I can imagine, and I have been a... read more tour operator myself. The countryside was beautiful and full of animal sign - we did see wolf and bear prints in the mud - and we heard all sorts of owls and roe and red dear engaged in rutting behavior. The European virgin forest was fabulous. Petra went all out to make sure I and our party of four others had a top notch experience. This trip (more like a wilderness adventure) has my wholehearted recommendation.
We recently cycled Istria to the Adriatic self guided for one week. From our first contact with the company their service and response was outstanding. And the whole trip was... read more exactly as promised. This is our 14th cycling tour around the world and this is one of the very best. Great bikes, great accommodation, fabulous routes. A very thorough, reliable and professional company. We hope to cycle with you again and wish more cycle companies were of your very high standard. Thank you Katja and all the Visit Good Place team
Why? Because Visit GoodPlace is simply the best! Not only as an agency and it's diverse offer of outdoor activities one can choose from, but mostly because of the people,... read more the team, that will make your visit in Slovenia or neighbouring countries unforgettable! We've done several bike trips with Visit GoodPlace so far, from leisure family bike touring trips, visiting bike parks, to harder and a bit more technical multi days mtb-tours, traversing Slovenia and Croatian islands. And we're coming back for sure!
We traveled for a week visiting beautiful places on the Italian coast, Slovenia and Croatia. Our guide and all the support team were excellent! It was fun to cycle along... read more the parenzana (former railway) with diverse kinds of terrains. Wonderful food, charming hotels. We highly recommended this trip! “Istria to the Adriatic”
The tour was just fantastic! Far better than we expected. Slovenia is a beautiful country with mountains, rivers and incredible wildness. Often we have encountered no other people all day... read more and were traveling alone in this breathtaking mountain world. Day 5 we had made the Classic route (hard), but with a short cut of 20km and 1000hm less by first being transported by a shuttle to Livek. I would recommend that to anyone who is not a super athlete. The tour on the Matajur and then the endless singletrack down to Italy and from there back to the Brda area is still a crack. The tour was very exhausting, but feasible. If necessary, there was always the opportunity to take an Easy variant. We had done that on day 6, when it was just too hot and could only make about 80 instead of the 90 km. Actually, all tour segments were great. First, the wild Julian Alps with the Soca River and then the transition to the Mediterranean Karst Mountains. Except for the hotel Kompas in Kranjska Gora we liked everything very much. The tour was packed with singletrack, which was our goal. Also the people in Slovenia were really nice. We always ate great, whenever possible local dishes. Particularly noteworthy are the good wines that we could test everywhere. The wine area around Tolmin is incredibly beautiful and the old town invites you to linger. The arrival in Piran is then an incredible satisfaction and you can jump to cool off into the sea. Of the hotels we liked best the Hotel St. Martin in Tolmin and the hotel Piran in Piran. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again. We will definitely book a tour again. …
I visited Slovenia for the first time with a group of friends. We like to be active, so we decided to explore the country on a bike. The Visit Goodplace... read more team was amazing! They gave us great information and advice, and also offered us top level support during the tour. Already on the first day we discovered that Slovenia is extremely beautiful. We loved the views of the mountains, valleys, rivers, vinyards and the sea! It was a real joy cycling on the paths far away from the main roads. Also the food in our hotels was delicious and mostly home-made. The bikes we rented from Visit Goodplace were in perfected condition, probably brand new. I hope to come back next year and make another tour. Thank you! …

We did a self-guided tour, starting in Kranjska Gora and finishing in Piran on the Adriatic coast. From the pickup at the train station in Villach, to the very end,... read more the tour was faultless. The bikes we received were brand new, the accommodation choices were excellent, and even though it wasn't a gastronomic tour, the food and wine along the way were excellent. I cannot recommend Visit Goodplace highly enough. Everything was well thought out and perfectly organised. The route choices were great as we rarely encountered any real traffic and were often on small back roads, or even on forest paths and bike paths. The only time it was a bit busier was at the end, on the last leg into Piran, but that was to be expected as it is a popular seaside destination. If I was to do it again, I would plan more time to allow for the possibility of spending more than one night in some locations. This was our second visit to Slovenia and we will surely be back for more. …
We did the Istria to the Adriatic tour in October and it was incredible! We chose the self-guided option, and were thrilled with the tour. Everything exceeded our... read more expectations, the accomodations, the food, the GPS guidance, the company, etc. etc..
