We had the best time and for us, it was an experience of a lifetime. While we are active boomers,, we are not bike riders and didn’t have a total idea of what to expect. The tour met and went above our expectations. When Andrej asked what the highlight of our trip had been, all I could say was that everything in the tour was a favorite and special. From biking the beautiful coast and country side, to stopping at local roadside cafes for refreshment breaks, to visiting historic and quaint medieval villages and towns. It just didn’t get better than that. Our group was small and intimate and much fun. We managed on the many different terrains, some which we found to be more challenging than others. The highway rides were scary, but all part of the adventure. The biking was not strenuous and the ebikes made it all that much easier. Wonderful accomodations, meals and wine!

The bikes we received were brand new, the accommodation choices were excellent, and even though it wasn't a gastronomic tour, the food and wine along the way were excellent. I cannot recommend Visit Goodplace highly enough. Everything was well thought out and perfectly organised. The route choices were great as we rarely encountered any real traffic and were often on small back roads, or even on forest paths and bike paths. The only time it was a bit busier was at the end, on the last leg into Piran, but that was to be expected as it is a popular seaside destination. If I was to do it again, I would plan more time to allow for the possibility of spending more than one night in some locations. This was our second visit to Slovenia and we will surely be back for more. …

Even though our Easyjet plane was very late landing our transfer was eventually... read more found and we ended up in this Family run Hotel for the first night. We meet our fellow cyclists in the morning and our guide Ana. The touring bikes hired were perfect for the trip, well maintained and spares given - (required later on). Each day we had a perfect breakfast buffet in each of the hotels and fabulous food at each stop over. The cycling was on empty roads and tracks with only a few busy stretches. Each day had an event of the local area which was great. We did find the limit of prosciutto as it seemed to have a limitless supply. We eat out in local restaurants or at the hotel. We found the beer and wine fantastic value as this was our only cost except for one night where we had an 8 course tasting menu where it seemed to be expensive compared to the rest of Slovenia. My wife said it was the best holiday she had been on which wasn't dampened by the thunder storms and the last day. Visit good place said we could keep the bikes for an extra day as we were going home late that night. Nothing seemed to be a trouble and Ana was a fabulous guide with exceptional knowledge and enthusiasm for Slovenia. Looking to book another trip next year.

It started from the airport pick up – good driver, a quality pick up , quality van and quality rented
bikes.
We arrived to Kranska Gora and the driver helped us with installing own bikes and the extra rented bikes.

Our guide Andrej was very professional and so helpful, he know his country and local places.

He helped us a lot with some downhill practices and other practical MTB things.
The hotels/stays had a very good quality and food was even greater.

The places and landscapes we cycled in are amazing and mind blowing and are definitely a must do if you like mountain biking.
Slovenia and the Slovenians are great

  I visited Slovenia for the first time with a group of friends. We like to be active, so we decided to explore the country on a bike. The Visit Goodplace... read more team was amazing! They gave us great information and advice, and also offered us top level support during the tour. Already on the first day we discovered that Slovenia is extremely beautiful. We loved the views of the mountains, valleys, rivers, vinyards and the sea! It was a real joy cycling on the paths far away from the main roads. Also the food in our hotels was delicious and mostly home-made. The bikes we rented from Visit Goodplace were in perfected condition, probably brand new.
